This video sure came at us fast and furious. From first learning about this project to creating the style/messaging, shooting, researching, etc etc… completing it took just under a month. So it was one wild ride.

As you may be aware, the garbage situation in the Lower Mainland is a hot topic with Metro Vancouver pushing pretty hard for purchasing an incinerator. We were approached by some concerned citizens who disagreed with the idea of burning the garbage and wanted to be sure that the public was fully aware that there were other options for the problem. What they needed was a way to get their message across without being too “preachy”, and that’s where we came in!

We decided the best approach for making sure the message got heard was to go with comedy (which you don’t usually get with environmental films) and make a light-hearted and fun video to distribute online. From them giving us their research and telling us what they wanted to say, we took those materials and wrote a script, collected and shot a whole whack of footage, did some quick animation, and cut and mixed it in record time. Most importantly, our clients LOVE IT!!!
