Here’s what writer/director Zac Rothman has to say about working with Gloo Studios!

Gloo blows everyone else out of the water.

My project ‘Alchemy and Other Imperfections’ was part of the Crazy 8s film race. We had 8 days to film, edit, and composite a 10 minute film with multiple visual effects. These effects included creating a massive post apocalyptic landscape from scratch, creating animated elements that literally lift off the pages of a chemistry textbook, custom shadows and vignettes There was also the edit of the film, colour correction, and post production supervision, liaising with our sound studio, and probably things I never even knew about.

Gloo Studios handled all the aspects of post production seamlessly. When I say ‘seamless’ I mean it. I’ve been making films for over ten years and this was the smoothest, most satisfying post production workflow I’ve ever encountered. There was never any question about it. Having such a uniquely talented group of editors, artists, compositors and managers under one roof puts Gloo squarely ahead of everyone in the business. It was artistry, technically perfect, but kept pure and simple. They’re also some of the nicest, most dedicated people I’ve met.

I’d recommend Gloo Studios for any project and I’d work with them again in a heartbeat. Truly, they helped turn my low budget short film into a visual masterpiece.
