OHSAH is a great example of the kinds of clients we love to work with, being organizations that are in place to make people’s lives better.  The core goal of OHSAH is to create a safe work environment for people working in British Columbia’s health care industry.  We were more than happy to accommodate when they asked us to create a tenth anniversary video for them.

 

A little fun fact about this video is that it was actually edited in Saskatchewan.  How do I know this?  I’m the one who cut it.  Enjoy!

 

Landmark Realty wanted a few videos from us.  We figured out a way to basically make 1 big video, and then tear out portions and make a tweak here or there to give them that same video, but specialized to a different message. 

The primary goal was Recruitment.  I go quite a ways back creating videos for companies wanting to boost their employee roster or keep the team they have happy and working hard (like Schlumberger Canada and Capital Health in Edmonton to name a couple).

The second purpose was A Selling Tool.  To make a video that could be customizable to each realtor. They could personalize it, add themselves to the beginning, post it on their individual websites, and send it out to all their prosepective clients.

So, at the end of the day, Landmark Realty got all the videos they wanted for a heck of a lot less than they would have normally spent.  See!  I don't want your money - I just want to make awesome videos!

 

Now we're talking!  Exploding heads!!  YES!  This is why we do what we do. Well, that's why I do this.  Mike on the other hand is all about mystical floating spheres.  He absolutely loves to create unique partical patterns within them and adding colors and lights, flares and glares, and reflections of those around them.  Yes. Mike love mystical balls. Yes he sure does.

We've just completed production of Abilitas Foundation's first video to promote the development of their respite lodge near Merrit, BC. We filmed in Abbotsford, Harrison Hot Springs, Stanley Park and out at the lodge site near Merrit over 3 days in the summer.

Official groundbreaking is set for later this year. Keep up to date with what Abilitas is doing and find more information on their website.

We just completed the televised production of Thunderbird Show Park's World Cup Qualifier Equestrian event and it's going to air this Saturday (Sept 5) at 4PM (PDT) on Shaw TV all across Canada. This was a huge production involving 5 cameras and a hefty production and post-production crew to pull off.  Lots of fun in the sun for everyone!!

We did it!!!  After a tense 3 weeks of waiting for the results to come in, the winner has been announced for EA’s Tiger Woods 2010 Viral Video Challenge!  That winner of course is Paul Lowey and the rest of us at Gloo that helped make the video possible.  Thanks also to Patrick Papineau and Jimmy Nguyen for acting.  Most importantly, we can’t thank everybody enough for helping to vote this video as the best one.  We couldn’t have done the winning part of the contest without you.  We intend to put most of the money right back into our company so that we can produce even more (and even better) videos for our customers and for your viewing pleasure.

Well, the voting has closed for the Tiger Woods video contest.  We'd like to thank everyone who voted for it and helped raise our views on youtube.  Speaking of the latter, we would still like to encourage people to keep watching the youtube video and help keeps those numbers up.  Also, feel free to go onto youtube and post some (hopefully friendly) comments to help keep the video active.  The winner will be announced on September 23rd.  Thanks again for your support!

OMG! OMG! OMG!  IT’S THE TRAILER FOR THE NEW “TWILIGHT” MOVIE!!!!!!  Well, not really, but this is based on a true story of what happens when you watch it.  Robert Pattinson is soooo dreamy.  He brings out the screaming teenage girl in me.

This is one of those absurdist comedy pieces that I personally love so much.  Effects were done by the fine folks here at Gloo Studios.  You may think they look cheesy, and that’s good because that was the point!  You see that window on the right hand side of the video?  ENTIRELY FAKE!  The toilet dude?  Didn’t really fall from the ceiling!  I’m not jiving you.  Seriously, I would never jive you.  That’s the kind of magic that we create here at Gloo everyday!

So, the next time you’re making a video and you need a shot of a guy falling from the ceiling while sitting on the toilet, give us a call!
