Paul Lowey and the Gloo team recently rounded up some friends and entered EA’s recent contest to come up with the best new viral video to help raise awareness for their new game Tiger Woods 2010.  The winner of the contest will win $50000.  Well, just a couple days ago, the top five videos were announced and we made it!

From now until the end of August, voting on these videos is now open to the public.  That means we need your help - on 2 fronts....

The first place we need your help is EA’s website.  We need you to vote for our video which is called “In The Game”.  It should be the 4th one down on the list.  You can vote for it as many times as you’d like, so please vote often.  Here is the link....

Secondly, we believe EA is doing a "test" to see how the videos will do in a forum such as youtube.  So they have released them there as well.  So what we need you to do is just to watch through our video there to get the view count up.  And if you'd like, feel free to leave a comment - but only if its nice ;)

We did it!!!  After a tense 3 weeks of waiting for the results to come in, the winner has been announced for EA’s Tiger Woods 2010 Viral Video Challenge!  That winner of course is Paul Lowey and the rest of us at Gloo that helped make the video possible.  Thanks also to Patrick Papineau and Jimmy Nguyen for acting.  Most importantly, we can’t thank everybody enough for helping to vote this video as the best one.  We couldn’t have done the winning part of the contest without you.  We intend to put most of the money right back into our company so that we can produce even more (and even better) videos for our customers and for your viewing pleasure.

The Province

We just completed the televised production of Thunderbird Show Park's World Cup Qualifier Equestrian event and it's going to air this Saturday (Sept 5) at 4PM (PDT) on Shaw TV all across Canada. This was a huge production involving 5 cameras and a hefty production and post-production crew to pull off.  Lots of fun in the sun for everyone!!

This just came in today from the cool guy who did all the sound for Pixar Intro Parody.  We personally loved what Carl put into the Pixar video.  He hit the nail on the head with everything Mike had requested and brought the video to a whole new level of extreme awesomeness. 

Anyways - check out his interview below. He mentions Mike and Gloo Studios around minute 8, but that doesn't mean you should stop listening after that.  If you love sound design, then you should hear what Carl from Sondrol Music has to say.
