We haven't been slacking here at Gloo, even though we haven't been posting much lately.  We went through a bunch of the projects we haven't had time to post in the last month or so, or that we forgot about in our busy-ness and have posted some of them for you.  Check them out!

LIfe has become really difficult for me lately.  Why?  Because I haven't seen Inception yet!  Every single website I go to has some kind of posting or video on it or explaining it and I can't read or watch any of it because it will ruin the movie for me.  I've been uninvited to group lunches because everyone wants to talk about it.

So, it goes without saying that I haven't actually watched our latest College Humor video yet.  I hear it's funny and we did the gunshots and blood splatters for it, but I keep having to run out of the room chanting "LA LA LA LA LA LA LA" and sticking my fingers in my ears before I hear anything more about it.

There may be spoilers, so watch with caution...

RETRO WEDNESDAY!!!!

Today's video is another blast from Rob Fresco's ABC past!  Here's a little video he shot of Patricia Richardson and Richard Karn talking to viewers about the episode of "Home Improvement" they were just watching.

I  remember seeing Pat Richardson in a horror film called "Christmas Evil" in which her character hits her child.   I'm pretty sure the film was about a guy dressed as Santa Claus who killed people, but I don't remember it being a particularly good film.  If you're interested in seeing someone dressed as Santa killing people, I'd recommend "Silent Night, Deadly Night".  PUNISH!!!!!

Where was I again?  Oh yeah, here's the commercial...

This is one of the most awesome videos we've done for College Humor lately.  We wish we could have done more than just add a couple gunshots, the news ticker, and the SyFy channel displays, but then it wouldn't be a true parody of the typical low-budget fare you'd get from the SyFy channel,

Someday I hope to actually see one of these SyFy movies in their entirety.  With titles like "Sharktopus" and "Mega-Python Vs. Gatoroid" (featuring a catfight between Debbie Gibson and Tiffany), it seems like a recipe for pure cinematic gold.

RETRO WEDNESDAY!!!!

Rob Fresco takes the backseat this week as we highlight a "gem" from the late 90's courtesy of the other partners in Gloo.

Since I cut this trailer, I've got a few stories but I'll keep it simple.  Essentially, Mike and Paul made a 15 minute horror/thriller/comedy video about two friends being terrorized by a rubber chicken.  A couple years later (1999), they asked me to make a trailer for it just for fun.  Unfortunately, it's gone through several tape generations so the video quality is a little iffy, but the content still holds up.

Fans of History Television may find the narrator's voice familiar.  It's none other than BRUCE EDWARDS, the voice of the popular "Disasters of the Century" series.  So, bask in all his narrating glory as we present the trailer for "Night of the Restless Chicken"!

RETRO WEDNESDAY!!!!!!

If you ever wanted a device that shouted out to the world "HEY, SOMEONE'S STEALING MY BIKE!", look no further than the Cycle Centry alarm in this classic commercial shot by Gloo's one and only Rob Fresco (Actually, there is another Rob Fresco in the world who's a director of photography as well, but this one is all ours).

I think the best thing about this commercial (other than the thief's pants) is that I essentially used the same "Predator-Cam" shot in my classic student film "Les Souliers Sont Parties", except mine was mostly orange instead of purplish-blue.  Hopefully, I can show it to you someday.  One time when I was moving though, someone stole a box out of the back of my truck that had all my masters in it.  I don't think they got much benefit from that box, but still...sigh.

If only I had a Cycle Centry...
